Four stages from screen map to owned tickets

This page explains how a layer-by-layer pass is run so you know what to prepare before you book.

  1. 1. Inventory & matrix

We lock the primary screens, secondary states, device list, and network profiles. Overlays that can interrupt those journeys are listed up front so they are timed as separate layers.

Planner reviewing documents and a laptop during scoping
  2. 2. Timed walks

Analysts walk each journey on the agreed devices, capturing when chrome, content, and overlays become interactive. Cold starts and return visits are separated when the product requires it.

Colleagues comparing notes while reviewing devices
  3. 3. Layer notes & priorities

Findings are written per screen with the layer named first. Priorities weigh user impact and effort bands your leads can challenge in the readout.

  4. 4. Readout & optional compare

A live session assigns owners. When fixes land, a baseline compare re-measures the same set so you can see what moved.
